We are looking to recruit a Graduate/Junior IT Systems Engineer, someone that learns quickly, takes ownership of tasks, has a relevant degree or 1 to 2 years’ relevant experience in IT and looking to develop further in an exciting role at a successful Edinburgh based fintech company operating in the Banking industry.

You will have day to day responsibility for the various aspects of IT within the company. The management of support tickets as they come in. Working with ALMIS staff to support and resolve issues internally and for our customers.

What you will do

• Help to deliver our business objectives through IT solutions
• Take responsibility for the day-to-day ticket management, monitoring and maintenance of our systems and solutions including O365, Sophos Central, Sophos Optix and Qualys
• Perform the day-to-day support and maintenance work
• Help to assess, monitor and upgrade the IT systems and processes
• Create and deliver continual improvement through an IT roadmap
• Follow process to ensure compliance with ISO27001 standards
• Work on IT projects that support the success and growth of the company

The experience you will need
A relevant IT degree or 1 – 2 years’ experience in:

• IT Support
• Windows 10 & Windows Server 2019
• Microsoft’s stack: In-Tune, O365 Suite
• User management in Active Directory

Nice to have skills

• IT Support
• Experience of MS SQL 2012 upwards
• Experience with PostgreSQL versions 10 upwards
• Experience with Microsoft Azure

You should also have

• Ownership and problem-analysis abilities
• The ability to build a good rapport with all our stakeholders
• Excellent communication skills
• An eye for detail

Your pay and conditions

• The salary range for the Graduate/Junior IT Systems Engineer is £25,000 – £35,000 per annum, depending on experience
• This is a full-time, permanent role. We support distributed working, so you do not need to be Edinburgh based. – you will need to come to the Edinburgh office initially for the first 2 weeks, then you can work 1 day per week from home.
• As you gain more experience with ALMIS you will be able to work from home more often.
