The role will be closely aligned with the Product Owner, Scrum team lead and development team, you will play a pivotal role in the success of the team.

About the Role:

We are seeking a talented and passionate Mid-Level C# Software Developer with 2-5 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining our cutting-edge banking data platform.

This role requires strong technical skills, a deep understanding of banking operations, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Your team is around 50% remote working, so we hold quarterly team days in Edinburgh to all meetup.

Our data platform is at the heart of our operations, enabling us to offer unparalleled service to our customers worldwide. We leverage the latest technologies in Azure DevOps, Azure cloud services, and PostgreSQL to deliver robust desktop and web applications that drive the financial industry forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions using C# for both desktop and web applications.
  • Work closely with the development team to integrate new features and services into our Azure-based infrastructure.
  • Utilize Azure DevOps for continuous integration, continuous deployment (CI/CD), and agile project management.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries and database schemas in PostgreSQL to ensure high performance and data integrity.
  • Participate in code reviews, adhere to best practices in software development, and contribute to the improvement of internal coding standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical team leads, product managers and QA analysts, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software to enhance performance and address customer needs.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within the platform.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
  • 2 to 5 years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on C# programming.
  • Proven experience with Azure cloud services, Azure DevOps, and PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with developing both desktop and web applications.
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, and software architecture.
  • Experience with front-end technologies (e.g., WPF, HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
