Test Analyst

Permanent - Full Time, Hybrid working

Our success is built on our innovative and sophisticated FINTECH applications, and as part of our continued growth we are searching for a test analyst to join our agile scrum team. The role will be closely aligned with the Product Owner, Scrum team lead and development team, you will play a pivotal role in the success of the team.  

Key areas of responsibility:  

  • Identifying products to be assessed in the software review process and developing test plans. 
  • Defining appropriate tests to be carried out including the test data to be used. 
  • Defining and maintaining regression packs. 
  • Identifying tests which are eligible for test automation. 
  • Implementing automation tests working with our graduate test automation engineer to reduce manual test activity. 
  • Using your experience in Agile to participate in Agile Ceremonies to drive backlogs and sprint delivery and to help the team develop their agile efficiency. 
  • Managing the test data by documenting the results of each test cycle to identify flaws. 
  • Liaising with the software development team. 
  • Running diagnostic and system testing and presenting the information to the relevant stakeholders. 
  • Identifying and implementing processes to improve the team’s agile processes. 
  • Improving knowledge of business applications and user needs and expectations. 
  • Understanding and implementing industry standards and protocols. 

Skills & Experience   

  • 5 years experience performing software testing 
  • Experience of test automation (identifying, defining and implementing automated tests) 
  • Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes 
  • Experience working in Scrum/Agile 
  • Excellent communication skills and analytical mindset 
  • Attention to detail to identify issues 
  • Interest and desire to work in technology 
  • Strong documentation skills 
  • Strong analytical skills 

Any experience of the following would be a bonus: 

  • ISTQB certification 
  • An ability to work with SQL databases 
  • Experience working in the FINTECH, Banking or Finance industries  
  • Experience testing cloud-based applications 
  • Non-functional testing, e.g., performance and capacity/load
